Main Library Bookstacks is responsible for maintenance of the bookstacks in the Main Library.  This primarily covers the Main Library's open stacks.  Media Services, Special Collections and the Map Collection are responsible for their own reshelving. There are reshelving areas on each floor except for the 5th floor.

Main Library Directory

First floor - at the south end of the Reference Alcoves.  Check this area for Reference materials and other materials left on the first floor.

Second floor - at the north end.  Check this area for East Asian and QUAC materials.

Third floor - off the central corridor at the north end of the building.  Check this reshelving area for journals, bound and unbound, and other materials left on the third floor.

Fourth floor - The Bookstacks office and materials sorting area is located on the fourth floor of the Main Library in the central corridor.

Fifth floor - There is no reshelving area on the fifth floor. Check the Bookstacks office on the fourth floor.

Lockers & graduate carrels are assigned by the Bookstacks supervisor at the beginning of each term.
