The Information Arcade staff consists of consultants and assistants from a variety of academic disciplines, who provide in-depth help with the equipment and resources we offer. Drawing from expertise in instructional design, multimedia, and academic research across the humanities and social sciences, Information Arcade consultants are available to work with individuals and departments integrating technology into their scholarly and pedagogical work.

Lisa Martincik is Head of the Information Arcade. She joined the Arcade in the Fall of 2001; prior to that she spent two years as head of the Mathematical Sciences and Physics Libraries at the University of Iowa. Martincik has a BA in English from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and received an MA in Library Science from the University of Iowa.

Ann Khan provides daily supervision of Information Arcade operations. She manages the Arcade's graduate assistants, who provide technical support and consulting for staff and students. She also manages the Scholarly Digital Resource Center, a developing resource of of special library collections created in CD-ROM or Web-based formats. Khan, who studied journalism in the master's program at the University of Iowa, began her career at the Arcade as a student employee in 1994 and was a part-time Library Assistant before her recent acceptance of the full-time position.

Aaron is currently working on completing a M.F.A. in Graphic Design. He is currently working on various websites and trying to learn as much as possible about video and video editing. He also enjoys staying up to date on software and hardware but finds it increasingly difficult due to growing speed of technology.

Kwak is a Ph.D. student in Cinema and Comparative Literature department and currently working on his dissertation on contemporary South Korean cinema and literature. During weekend, however, he conducts Emmanuel Choir at All Nations Baptist Church and enjoys singing in the bathtub.

Choonghee is a Ph.D. student in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Among his reserach area interests are media transitions, media effects on building communitites, political communication and international communication. To everybody's relief, he knows his research area is a little broader than it is supposed to be. He likes everything related to visual productions regardless of analog or digital.

Scott is currently working on an interdisciplinary Ph.D. on Intermedia and the Institutional Theory of Art. He has been using Macs since 1984, enjoys Franz Kline and Dada, likes rock music and cooking, and, more importantly, is a double Scorpio. Scott is currently recording a second album by his band, Little One, and working on a web site on the history of Intermedia.
