- Our multimedia CD-ROM and DVD collection is searchable in the Libraries online catalog. They can also be reserved for class use.
- We have miniDV camcorders available for circulation.
Create, import, and edit audio and video.
- Several multimedia stations feature one or more of the following: VCR, miniDV deck, audio cassette deck, LP turntable, Keystation 49e USB keyboard.
- LG LRY-517 DVD/VCR facilitates simple DVD editing.
Create, scan, and manipulate images and text.
- The Nikon Super Coolscan 4000 allows scanning of 35mm film (slides and filmstrips) at up to 4000 dpi resolution. A batch scanning attachment is available.
- The Wacom Intuos2 6”x8” graphic tablet allows pen-based input.
- One large and several legal-size flatbed scanners are available.
Create web pages.
Record projects to CD, DVD, VHS, and miniDV.
- All workstations accommodate CD and DVD burning.
Get help with your multimedia project.
- Our staff is available for short questions as well as consultations.
Print.
- Black-and-white and color laser printers are available to anyone with HawkID and print credit.
- Our self-service photo-quality Epson 2200 station will allow you to print your digital images on high-quality paper with archival inks. For details and pricing, please ask staff.
Read books and journals on software and computing topics.
Reserve a multimedia workstation.
- Come in or call to secure a computer station for your project work.
- Only one station can be reserved at a time; exceptions can be made for class instructors.
Reserve the project rooms.
- Intended for collaborative use by small groups, these three rooms are equipped with Macintosh and Windows OS, a whiteboard, an LCD projector and screen, and a large conference table.
