Class Reserves: Instructor's Guide

How to Place Items on Reserve

The Pomerantz Business Library accepts class-reserve requests during open hours. Library materials and/or personal copies (textbooks, notes, etc.) may be placed on reserve.  Please note:

  • Loan periods are by default 2 hours.
  • A 1- or 3-day loan period is also available.
  • By request, staff can apply a "room use only" policy;
    material must be used in the Library.
  • Please indicate the instructor's name and course number
    on items brought for reserve.
  • Lists may take up to 10 working days to process. Materials not owned by the Libraries may take 4-6 weeks to acquire.
  • Once the semester has started, reserve material
    is usually processed within 3-5 working days.
Place materials on reserve - online request form.

Please note that personal books or photocopied materials are often damaged by heavy use, are sometimes stolen, and patrons may fail to return them. The Libraries cannot replace missing items or repair damaged personal materials.
