Competive Intelligence Resources (06B:050)
- Taught by a business librarian, this one credit hour course meets for six weeks and introduces students to business research tools and strategies. Three sections are scheduled during the Fall and Spring
semesters.
- Course description:
The purpose of this course is to introduce students to concepts and sources
of business information. Sources are available in different formats such as print, CD-ROM (Compact disc-read only memory), and
online databases via the Internet. All of the resources are available and/or accessible in the Pomerantz Business Library in C320
Pappajohn Business Building, through the Computer Lab in PBB, and at various workstations throughout the building and the campus.
In many cases, access is available off-campus as well. Students receive a series of handouts throughout the course. Some class time
is used for hands-on instruction. There are four assignments that require students to use the resources discussed during the semester.
