Hazardous Substances Data Bank

National Library of Medicine, Specialized Information Services, Environmental Health and Toxicology - Page has links to resources with information covering all areas of toxicology. Includes chemical databases as well as consumer health information.

Hazardous Chemicals Database--This database, created at the University of Akron, will allow the user to retrieve information for any of over 1300 hazardous chemicals based on a keyword search. Potential keywords include names, formula and registry numbers (CAS, DOT, RTECS and EPA).

EPA's Envirofacts Data Warehouse and Applications

EPA's Wastes Home - the home page for information about wastes, including pollution prevention, treatment and control, cleanup and other waste programs.

EPA Waste Topics - provides links to all waste topics, from antifreeze to wood preserving.

NIOSH National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health - NIOSH is part of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) This is their site for chemical safety which contains several databases and other resources.

DOSE -Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) database containing data on 4123 chemicals which have been studied for environmental impact or toxicity, and provides all the required information for the assessment of risks associated with the use of those chemicals.

National Library of Medicine Specialized Information Services TOXNET - A cluster of databases on toxicology, hazardous materials, and related areas.

EAFUS: A Food Additive Database (US FDA)
