CIC Film Cooperative
Welcome to the Committee for Institutional Cooperation's film cooperative's information site. The CIC panel on film study operates a cooperative film library located in the media library at the University of Iowa. A membership fee enables the cooperative to lease films and rent them to institutions at a reasonable price for use in classrooms, independent studies, and research. The library currently provides access to over 100 films.
This site offers information about the films available through the cooperative as well as information on ordering and shipping the films.

Ordering CIC Films: To order a CIC Film click on the Order Form URL at the bottom of the full record display or use this form.
1. You must be a member of the Cooperative to order films from the CIC.
2. Films need to be ordered well in advance of the play date.
3. If you have a comment as to the condition of the film or a question, please email lib-media-services@uiowa.edu or call 319.335.5944.
4. You are responsible for the transport of the film back to the University of Iowa - please be sure to note the insure for amount included on the shipping information when returning the film.
Instructions For Handling And Shipping
Of CIC Film Cooperative Film Prints:1. Please return the film in the same way it was shipped to you, rewound with the ends fastened with paper or flatback tape. Please do not use plastic tape on film prints.
2. If the film is returned rewound incorrectly or not rewound, you will receive a fine of $5 per reel.
3. Please mark any damage to films with tape and note it on the form included with the film.
4. If you have a comment as to the condition of the film, please write your comment on the instruction sheet included with the film, or email lib-media-serivces@uiowa.edu.
5. You are responsible for the transport of the film back to the University of Iowa - please be sure to note the insure for amount included on the shipping information when returning the film.
