Download details for potential Beta testers
Beta testers are entitled to privileged, first access to the product before the public. Through their feedback, they influence development of iLecture. Beta testing is for people who can tolerate the unfinished nature of a pre-release product. Nearly all of our testers find it extremely rewarding to contribute to the final product.
If you are interested in being considered as a Beta tester, you can let us know by filling out our Beta sign-up form . We will review your application and provide information about testing the beta release of iLecture.
Be part of the team that puts the iLecture pre-release product through its paces and gives us vital feedback to shape the final version!
Here are some of the conditions and specifics of being a tester.
- Beta testers use a stable version of the pre-release product, usable for your day-to-day activities. In fact, we strongly encourage you to test the product as you would normally use it for preparation of your narrated lecture(s). We are anxiously waiting to hear whether you find any "bugs." (Bugs are glitches and malfunctions in the software, or in interactions with your other software and computer hardware.) We are also eager to hear your suggestions and comments for improved functions, features, or utility.
- Testers are selected based on a variety of criteria dictated by the Product Team. Examples of criteria include: diverse demographics (a mix of novices, experts, and other users); different types of computers; variety of content/subject areas; new customers, current customers, and so on. We are searching for a diverse test group to put the software through different levels of "stress" activity. For that reason, we can't always guarantee that we will include everyone who signs up to test iLecture, but we will try our best!
- Beta testing is strictly confidential. If you have a conflict of interest or cannot abide by this stipulation, we won't be able to include you in our testing. Confidentiality includes: a promise not to redistribute the product, disassemble the programming or pieces of the software, or modify the software.
