Strategic Goals

Digital Library Services strives to attain these overarching goals:

1. Integration. Develop a full range of digital resources and services that are closely
coordinated with each other and well integrated with other library resources and
services.

2. Collaboration. Foster diverse collaborations on digital projects both within the
University Libraries and with partners on campus and in the broader community.

3. Interoperability. Promote shared technology architectures and standards needed to achieve interoperability and integration among diverse digital information resources.

4. Education. Inform and educate content providers about digital collections, services, and technologies, including intellectual property rights in the digital environment.

5. Infrastructure. Provide a reliable and robust infrastructure to support digital library
initiatives.

6. Assessment. Develop a program of regular assessment and measurement to
evaluate current programs and to plan for future digital library needs.
