(08/15/2003) We now have a subscription to an online database of journal articles--China Academic Journals (CAJ): Literature/History/Philosophy(UI access only), part of the electronic project of the CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure), provided by East View. This database covers journal articles published in China in almost all the subject areas of the Humanities and Arts. It includes back files dated back to 1994 and features more than 639,000 articles.
On the following Web page, you can click on the link "China Academic Journals", which will lead to the search interface. When you choose the Chinese search interface, please be sure to enter keywords or phrases either in simplified Chinese or in traditional Chinese, in accord with the fonts you choose (either GB or Big5).
The database provides full texts in CAJ and PDF formats. You may need to download the CAJ reader (from the search interface) to view CAJ full texts and Acrobat Reader (if your computer does not have one) to view PDF texts.
