If you are using original title in Japanese to find a translation, try "Title beginning with..." search. Look for the record with "English" after the title on the browse list.
Example: Noruwei no mori. English
If you are using author's name, try Advanced Search and set language limit to English. You could also try author's name as subject heading to find some translation works. Using author's name as subject heading also finds works about the author and his/her works.
Following subject headings are useful to find anthologies in addition to some individual authors' works. Try botn "Subject beginning with..."search and "Keywords in subject" search:
Japanese literature -- Translations into English.
Japanese fiction -- Translations into English.
Japanese poetry -- Translations into English.
Short stories, Japanese -- Translations into English.
