Judging is based on both technical and artistic elements.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lib.uiowa.edu\/eng\/thesis-summer-camp-2025\/\">Engineering Thesis Summer Camp<\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0is made for current engineering and computer science graduate students (MS and PhD) in any stage of writing their thesis or dissertation.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lib.uiowa.edu\/eng\/events\/lunch-and-learn-engineering-library-workshop-series\/\">Lunch &amp; Learn Workshops<\/a> <span class=\"OYPEnA font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">enrich your research skills and get a deeper understanding of library resources.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lib.uiowa.edu\/eng\/events\/maker-workshops\/\">Maker Workshops<\/a> for hands-on learning and creativity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Legacy Events &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>past events that have been reworked into updated versions or may return in the future<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lib.uiowa.edu\/eng\/events\/business-building-blocks\/\">Business Building Blocks<\/a> workshops are a series of workshops for new entrepreneurs to learn some of the basic pieces needed for starting a business.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lib.uiowa.edu\/eng\/events\/creative-kick-start\/\">Creative Kick-Start<\/a> is a program for engineering students (undergraduate and graduate) to submit a proposal to receive funding for prototyping\/finishing their projects<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lib.uiowa.edu\/eng\/events\/graduate-thesis-boot-camp\/\">Graduate Thesis Boot Camp<\/a> is a multi-day workshop which provides current engineering and computer science graduate students with the opportunity to make progress on their dissertation or master\u2019s thesis.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lib.uiowa.edu\/eng\/events\/learn-create-workshops\/\">Learn &amp; Create Workshops<\/a> for hands-on learning about tools and skills.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lib.uiowa.edu\/eng\/events\/research-scholars-workshops\/\">Research Scholars Workshops<\/a> are designed to provide guidance and resources as researchers progress in their work.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/guides.lib.uiowa.edu\/Sci-Fi_Flix\">SciFi Flix<\/a> are events over Zoom where College of Engineering faculty provide expert commentary through a movie (good and bad) &#8211; movies selected have some engineering\/STEM topic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Lichtenberger Engineering Library hosts several events that promote learning, creativity, collaboration, exploration, and imagination.
