America: History and Life Restricted Resource - UI Access Only
Covers the world's scholarly literature in United States and Canadian history. It includes article abstracts from 1700 journals and bibliographic citations of books and dissertations. The coverage is 1954- .

AskERIC
ERIC focuses on education-related topics. It also covers many other subject areas, such as psychology, social sciences, health education, recreation and leisure, communications, and personnel issues. ERIC integrates two print indexes. The Current Index to Journals in Education (CIJE) covers journal articles, and Resources in Education (RIE) covers many types of materials, including conference papers and grant-sponsored research reports. ERIC subject descriptors are listed in the Thesaurus of ERIC Descriptors, available at the public service desks in the Main Library and the Psychology Library. NOTE: This resource uses the freely available AskERIC interface.

Children's Literature Comprehensive Database Restricted Resource - UI Access Only
Offers more than 240,000 reviews of both fiction and non-fiction children's and young adult books, as well as related professional books--all full text searchable from 35 review sources. You can limit your search by age, grade level, lexile level, year of publication and genre. There are also links to author and illustrator sites, awards and prizes, teaching materials, booktalks and other resources from the CLCD home page.

ProQuest Dissertations and Theses Restricted Resource - UI Access Only
ProQuest Dissertations and Theses (Full Text) is the world's most comprehensive collection of dissertations and theses. The official digital dissertations archive for the Library of Congress and the database of record for graduate research. It includes 2.4 million dissertation and theses citations from around the world from 1861 to the present day together with 1 million full text dissertations that are available for download in PDF format. The database offers full text for most of the dissertations added since 1997 and strong retrospective full text coverage for older graduate works. Each dissertation published since July 1980 includes a 350-word abstract written by the author. Master's theses published since 1988 include 150-word abstracts. The Database offers researchers unlimited access to digital copies from their own institutions as well as affordable copies from others.

PsycINFO Restricted Resource - UI Access Only
The PsycINFO database covers the professional and academic literature in psychology and related disciplines including medicine, psychiatry, nursing, sociology, education, pharmacology, physiology, linguistics, and other areas. PsycINFO's coverage is worldwide, and includes references and abstracts to over 1500 journals in more than 35 languages, and book chapters and books in the English language. Over 50,000 references are added annually. Popular literature is excluded.

Readers' Guide Retrospective Restricted Resource - UI Access Only
A comprehensive index to the most popular general-interest periodicals published in the United States. This database is available through WilsonWeb and covers the time period from 1890-1982.

Teacher Reference Center
Provides indexing and abstracts for over 280 of the most popular teacher and administrator trade journals to assist professional educators.

Teacher Rules, Roles and Rights
The National Council on Teacher Quality has developed a database called Teacher Rules, Roles and Rights that provides a glimpse into the collective bargaining agreements for the 50 largest school systems in the United States. It allows users to sort data from teacher contracts in hundreds of ways. NCTQ says its goal was to create a user-friendly and transparent source of information to help the public analyze and compare collective bargaining agreements in different markets as a way to stimulate discussion and spark school reform.
