A block of rooms has been reserved under the name “Africana Librarians Council” for Wednesday night, May 7, through Saturday night, May 10. The block room rate is $75-90, depending on the “view” and single or double occupancy. All rooms have two double beds – so for example, if you split the cost of an interior view room, the cost would be $42.50/person/night.

The Iowa City/Coralville area is served by the Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids (see http://www.crairport.org/), about 25 minutes drive from the University of Iowa campus. The most economical conveyance from the airport to the conference site is Airport Shuttle Service (call 800-725-8460 or visit their website at http://www.crshuttle.com/); they have a counter in the airport terminal. A one-way ticket to Iowa City is $35, and a round-trip $65.
