Clue #5

Are you navigationally or technically inclined? Choose ONE of these two tasks

  1. Find a map on display in the Map Collection of the Great River Road and learn what is unique about the "Great River" at Clinton, Iowa. The Map Collection, which houses more than 195,000 sheet maps and 148,000 aerial photographs of Iowa's counties, in the UI Libraries is an appropriate stop for any serious racer. or
  2. Search the Iowa Digital Library to find a postcard of boys finishing a running race on July 7, 1918. Take a look in the notes field for your next clue.

Contest Rules and Eligibility Requirements

The Amazing Library Race is open to all undergraduate and graduate University of Iowa students. Participants must complete all of the required tasks and answer the related questions on the entry form. Only entries with correct answers will be entered into the drawing for prizes. Each student can enter only once, duplicates will be discarded. No entries will be accepted after midnight on Saturday, October 6, 2007. The decision of the judges are final.
