With Love from the Libraries

cherubWin a pair of tickets to Hancher for dinner and concert by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra: The Love Songs of Duke Ellington on Tuesday, February 12th at 7:30 p.m.

One of the greatest love stories of all time, Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet, has engaged people since it was first performed in the 16th century. People from all walks of life can relate to the characters, the story, the history.

For this contest, we want you to tell us how Romeo & Juliet relates to your discipline.

  1. Find a scholarly article, book, artistic work, etc from your discipline.
  2. Compare it to any part of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet (in 250-500 words). Make sure to include a complete citation of the scholarly work you are comparing.
  3. Submit your entry by Monday, February 4th at 12:00 p.m.

A panel of librarians will choose the winning entry. The winner will be notified on Friday, February 8th.
