Business Conditions Digest is a monthly publication of economic time series covering such data as construction contracts and orders, new building permits, employment rates, and price indices in convenient and easy-to-interpret graphical format showing peaks, troughs, and recessions. Business Statistics (1932-1992) contains a wide range of data on many industries, including production, shipments, stocks, orders, traide, prices and consumption.  Includes good source notes and index.  (Gov. Pubs. HC106.5 .A17 <yr.>)

Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance Identifies and describes specific government assistance opportunities such as loans, grants, counseling, and procurement contracts available under many agencies and programs. (Gov. Pubs. HC106.5 .A277 <yr.>).

County Business Patterns ( annually since 1964 and at irregular intervals dating back to 1946). is an annual series that provides economic data by industry. Data measure economic activity of small areas; analyzing economic changes over time; and as a benchmark for statistical series, surveys, and databases between economic censuses. Businesses use the data for analyzing market potential, measuring the effectiveness of sales and advertising programs, setting sales quotas, and developing budgets. EDGAR provides all foreign and domestic filings and forms from the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Employment and Earnings (1909-present), issued monthly, supplies detailed employment and payroll information for the U.S., the states and other areas by major industry, household data and demographic characteristics. online or in print (Gov. Pubs. HD5723 .A519 <yr.>).

Handbook of Labor Statistics includes statistics on the economic indicators of productivity of industrial workers, employment and unemployment, hours and earnings, consumer prices and living conditions, and foreign labor statistics.  Historical statistics are given for many of the indicators. Monthly Labor Review (in print from 1915-), similar in scope to the Handbook of Labor Statistics, but reporting is more frequent. (Gov. Pubs. HD8051 .A78 <yr.>); online from 1981.

Occupational Outlook Handbook is revised every two years and provides education requirements, earnings, job prospects, job descriptions and working conditions of hundreds of jobs.  Online: current / archives; in print (Gov. Pubs. HD8051 .A62 no.940)

Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) and North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) are systems that classify industries using a numerical classification. This hieriachial classification scheme is the underlying identifier for all establishment-based federal economic statistics. Stat-USA/Internet provides access to current and historical economic, trade and financial data for the U.S. and the world markets.

Survey of Current Business (1921-present) a monthly report of various parts of the business economy. Articles in the Survey present the latest national, international, regional, and industry estimates; describe the methodologies used to prepare the estimates; provide information about major revisions; discuss on-going innovations; and generally keep users up to date on relevant BEA issues and initiatives. U.S. Industrial Outlook (Gov. Pubs. HC 106.5 .A17)

United States International Trade Commission - provides an interactive database for 1997-present of international tariff information and archive data files back to 1989.  Both are arranged by chapter (product) of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule .
