FDLP logoThe University of Iowa was designated a depository for federal government publications in 1884 and has held special status as a Regional Library since 1969.  Through the depository program, publications are received from federal agencies with the understanding that they will be made available to the public in a free and open manner. As the Regional, UI Libraries serves all citizens of Iowa and provides administrative support for other selective depository libraries within the state. (More about U.S. Federal Information)
