Government Documents Roundtable

Iowa Library Association

PURPOSE

The purpose of the Government Documents Roundtable is to promote documents library service by providing an avenue for discussion of problems and concerns and for exchange of ideas among librarians working with government publications in all types of libraries.

 ACTIVITIES

A successful 16th GODORT Summer Workshop, Access, Process, and How Do We Get There >From Here, was held at The University of Iowa on July 13, 2001. GODORT also sponsored a session at the ILA Fall Conference in Dubuque at which Joyce Lindstrom, Government Information Librarian at Iowa State University, spoke on Finding Government Information in the 21st Century.  The GODORT Executive Board mounted a display of Library Journal's 2000 Notable Government Documents and Iowa Depository Program Core Documents.   The Iowa documents were given away in a drawing.

Published two issues of Documents Roundtable News

Organized a well-received Government Documents Workshop

Sponsored a session at the ILA Fall Conference

Mounted a government documents display at the Fall Conference
