scabies rash fingers

The pimple-like rash in the webbing between the fingers of this adult’s hand was due to Sarcoptes scabiei var. hominis. Scabies is a highly contagious infestation of the skin caused by a mite affecting humans and animals. Scabies is usually transmitted by intimate interpersonal contact, often sexual in nature, but transmission through casual contact can occur as well.
