The University of Iowa Libraries has a site license to RefWorks!

RefWorks is a web-based citation management and bibliography tool. It can help you to efficiently store, organize, and share citations and easily format them for papers and bibliographies.

EndNote Support

The University of Iowa Libraries no longer provides formal support for EndNote.  The EndNote Support & Services page supplies a variety of filters and connection files and includes FAQs, tip sheets, and technical support contact information.

EndNote / CSA Import Instructions

Saving your Search

1. Perform search.
2. Mark records of interest to you.
3. Click on the "Save/Print/Email Records" button
4. Select Records option "Marked records."
5. Select Record format "Complete Record."
6. Click on the "Save" button.
7. In the "Save As..." window, you can change the filename if you wish. EndNote will import a file with a .bin extension from a CAS database.
8. Click on the "Save" button.


Importing your Search

1. Open Endnote and choose the library that you want to import the citations into.
2. Choose "File" then "Import."
3. Click on “Choose File” and find the file that you have just saved.
4. From the pull-down menu next to “Import Option” choose the appropriate database. If the database has multiple options, choose the one labeled "CSA."
5. Click the “Import” button.
