World Wide Web Chapter Resources
The list below provides a fast and convenient way for chapter members to gain an entry point into the resources of the World Wide Web. For each chapter title, links have been provided to one or more appropriate sections or subsections of "HealthWeb." "HealthWeb," has been used as a starting point because of its reliability, reliance on authoritative and accurate web resources. Healthnet references web sites having to do with statistics, government information, private associations, directories, therapies, and all other aspects of health care. It is possible to perform a search on the entire HealthWeb database by going to the HealthWeb Home Page.
HealthWeb is a collaborative project of the health sciences libraries of the Greater Midwest Region (GMR) of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NN/LM) and those of the Committee for Institutional Cooperation. Currently there are over twenty actively participating member libraries. This project is supported by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) under contract #N01-LM-6-3523 with the University of Illinois at Chicago.
In addition, Chapter Team members should consult the Hardin MetaDirectory site for comprehensive lists of additional site lists on their topic. The Hardin MetaDirectory is continually updated to provide accurate links to the most important health resources.
