This patient presented with a dermatologic condition that was differentially diagnosed as the manifestations of secondary syphilis

Secondary syphilis is the most contagious of all the stages, and is characterized by the spread of the Treponema pallidum bacteria throughout the body, causing systemic symptoms that includes cutaneous lesions such as the skin rash seen on this patient’s right thigh.
