ACP PIER: Physicians' Information and Education Resource Restricted Resource - UI Access Only - PALM ONLY
From the American College of Physicians, PIER is an evidence-based clinical resource. Entries provide guidelines on diseases, procedures, prevention and complementary and alternative medicine. All recommendations and cited references are annotated with a strength of evidence grade.  This resource is made available through the Library's subscription to Stat!Ref.

Diagnosaurus, available as part of the Library's AccessMedicine subscription, allows you to search 1000+ differential diagnoses by symptom, disease or organ system.

DynaMed Restricted Resource - UI Access Only

This EBM resources contains almost 2000 entries organized by symptom, disease or disorder.  Content is organized in an easy to navigate structured note format; both overall recommendations and specific study results are included.  Access the web version.
Contact us for a serial number allowing you to install or renew DynaMed on your PDA.

Epocrates Essentials - Carver College of Medicine Students ONLY
Epocrates has offered UI medical students a free one-year license to Epocrates Essentials.  It contains the content of the free Epocrates Rx (see Free PDA Downloads) plus infectious disease information, lab values and more.  Please contact us for the subscription information.

Essential Evidence Plus Restricted Resource - UI Access Only
A suite of tools providing evidence-based and expert information, including evidence summaries, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews abstracts, practice guidelines, and a variety of clinical calculators. A PDA version is available to enable its use at the bedside. Evidence is rated for all available entries and tools.
