It allows you 1) to search articles on a topic and 2) to track an article\u2019s cited and citing references.<\/p>\n<p>Journal Citation Reports (JCR) is the offical source to find a journal\u2019s impact factor.<\/p>\n<p>Access to Web of Science and JCR is provided by Web of Knowledge, a research platform by Thomson Reuters (formerly ISI).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Guides for Web of Science by its supplier Thomson Reuters<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/wokinfo.com\/media\/mtrp\/wok5_wos_qrc_en.pdf\">Web of Science Quick Reference Guide<\/a> (PDF): an introductory guide with pictorial illustrations<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/images.webofknowledge.com\/WOKRS512B4\/help\/WOS\/hp_search.html\">Web of Science Help<\/a>:\u00a0 an online help document that allows browsing and searching.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/wokinfo.com\/training_support\/training\/web-of-science\/\">Web of Science video tutorials<\/a>: short video on topics such as search tips, cited reference searching, and H index.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Guides for Journal Citation Reports (JCR)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/admin-apps.webofknowledge.com\/JCR\/help\/h_toc.htm\">JCR Help<\/a>: an online help document that allows browsing using it index or Table of Content.
