The New Library Building of 1951 -"Main Library"

 

The Building Today

In 1967 a plan was submitted to the Board of Regents to almost double the size of the library. 
The preliminary budget was for $6,670,000.  The architects for the addition were Charles
Richardson and Associates of Davenport, Iowa.
