Article Delivery Service (ADS) is available to faculty, staff, and students at the University of Iowa, excluding the College of Law. Articles or chapters from nonelectronic
journals, newspapers, or books held in any University
of Iowa Library (with the exception of the Law Library and Curriculum Lab) can be scanned,
delivered electronically, and available for viewing for 14 days. If an article is available through
a subscribed ejournal,
the link to the article will be provided. Fair use and copyright laws will
be applied to each request. Microform material over 20 pages in length may require additional
time for electronic delivery or will be held in Media Services for checkout
or use. Articles or
book chapters over 50 pages in length may require additional time for electronic delivery or
may be processed as book delivery requests and held for pickup
at one of the University Libraries (see section below on Book Delivery).
Request Form:
Please submit requests by logging in with your HawkID and password at https://illiad.lib.uiowa.edu/logon.html. If you are a first-time user of the system, you must first register after logging in. To ensure faster delivery, please choose the UI Library Location that the item is held at. Please submit one article or chapter title per request.
Book Delivery:
Delivery of books to another University of Iowa Library is a separate service provided by Circulation. Further information on this service can be located at:
