Art Full Text
Indexes 1984 to date, abstracts 1994 to date, and full text 1997 to present for 376 international journals. Coverage includes periodicals, yearbooks, and museum bulletins in English and other Western European languages, with a broad subject range. In addition to articles, Art Full Text indexes reproductions of works of art that appear in indexed periodicals.

Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals
Journal articles on architecture and design, including bibliographic descriptions and indexes on subjects such as the history and practice of architecture, landscape architecture, city planning, historic preservation, and interior design and decoration.

Current Digest of the (Post-) Soviet Press
The Current Digest of the (Post-)Soviet Press was founded in 1949. Each week it presents a selection of Russian-language press materials, carefully translated into English. (Records 1949-, full-text 1982-).  The UI Libraries has print versions of the Current Digest of the Soviet (and Post-Soviet) Press (1949-) shelved alphabetically by title on the 3rd floor, Main Library.

JSTOR
An archive of scholarly journals.  JSTOR does not contain current issues.  Sample titles:  Russian Review (1941-2002), Soviet Studies (1949-2002), Slavic and East European Journal (1957-2004)

Academic Search Elite (ASE)

ASE is an EBSCOhost database of magazine, journal and newspaper articles. 

• Use to search magazines (e.g. Time (1990-), National Geographic (1995-)) and journals (e.g. Russian Review (1990-), Russian Education & Society (1996-), Post-Soviet Affairs).  A lot of full-text options:  html (text only), PDF (scanned image of print version), and InfoLink.  InfoLink will guide you to other full-text options.
• Export to RefWorks to save your citations and create your bibliography

             

LexisNexis Academic

Provides access to a wide range of news sources.  News wires, television and radio transcripts are also available.  Full-text available in html (text-only).

• Power Search allows you to limit to a few major titles (Washington Post, NYT)
• Use the source tab to search other specific titles (e.g. Moscow News, Russian Press Digest (1990-)).  Look up the source under Find a Source, click OK.
