Matthew Butler is a native Iowan and long-time Iowa City resident. Over the years, he has worked with dozens of artists and writers who have passed through this UNESCO Creative City and would probably like to work with YOU. Matthew has made weekly TV shows about visiting authors at ICPL, photographed dozens of bands for Little Village Magazine, embarrassed himself numerous times on PATV, had a long running show on Iowa City Free Radio 88.7 FM, taught undergrad classes in Digital Art, sold his books at Iowa Killed Buddy Holly in the Hall Mall, briefly ran a studio in the White Lightning Warehouse, kinda learned how to cook living in Anomy House, and is so old that he was the first student in his college dorm to network a PC. Matthew got his MFA in Intermedia Art here at Iowa and is currently a Multimedia Consultant in the Digital Research & Publishing department in the Main Library where he makes websites and videos and other stuff that comes up.

Jen Wolfe

My Personal Librarian:

Jen Wolfe

Main Library

jennifer-wolfe@uiowa.edu

After living in Stanley Hall for her freshman year at the University of Iowa, Jen Wolfe went on to study library science, with stops at the University of Washington Libraries, the Zine Archive and Publishing Project, and the Experience Music Project in Seattle, as well as Northwestern University Library, the Art Institute, and the Newberry Library in Chicago. As a Digital Scholarship Librarian, she works with faculty, staff, and students on projects that make use of the UI’s digital collections, including historic photographs, artworks, personal papers, and audio and video recordings. When she’s not working, Jen makes her conspicuous way around town carting her four-year-old twins in a Dutch cargo tricycle contraption.
