Marking Unit
The Marking unit completes the final physical processing steps - call number labeling, theft stripping and identification stamping - in preparing an item for shelving. Items identified as needing treatment are routed to either Book Repair or Binding. Marking: materials are received from the Serials Acquisitions and Monographic Acquisitions units of the Central Processing Services Department.
