Weber, Francis J. Sir Harry of Carmel: A Tribute to Harry Downie. Monterey, CA: Hilleary and Petko, 1978. 13 pp. 2 7/8″ x 2 1/8″. Colophon: One hundred and twenty-five copies of this miniature book were made. It was hand-set in Bookman types, printed on a Chandler and Price pilot press and bound by Roger Hilleary. Msgr. Francis J. Weber is Archivist of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and the author of numerous books and articles about Californian ecclesiastical history. Two engravings by Anthony F Kroll. Blue Cloth. Colophon: One hundred and twenty copies of this miniature book were printed and bound by Roger Hilleary. Edited by Msgr. Francis J. Weber. Frontispiece drawing by Elizabeth Hilleary. 14 pages. Red Leatherette. The first canonized U.S. citizen gives a brief description of a visit to Catalina Island. In an envelope. B20th 5/567.

Colophon: 100 copies have been printed on Urabec-Hoffman all-rag handmade paper. Designed and printed by: Jack M. Two hundred and fifty copies of this miniature book were printed on a Columbian hand press by Roger Hilleary, 20 Caminito del Sur, Monterey, California. The text was set by hand in Eric Gill’s Joanna italic. display types are Joanna roman and Perpetua. Three drawings by Eric Sawyer. Steinbeck stamp as a frontispiece. 23 pages plus colophon, decorative boards. B20th 6/1444.

Hilleary, Roger. (editor). Diamond Cut Diamond: Eyewitness Accounts of the Taking of the Serapis by John Paul Jones. Monterey, CA: Hilleary and Petko, 1981. 31 pp. 2 ½” x 2 1/8″. Colophon: Two hundred and fifty copies of this miniature were printed on Linweave Taro-text paper by Roger Hilleary at 20 El Caminito del Sur, Monterey, California. It was handset in Bookman types and printed on a 1900 Chandler and Price Pilot press. This is copy No. 74. Boards. With John Paul Jones stamp as frontispiece. B20th 7/1443.

Hilleary, Elizabeth and Roger. The Cat Who Loved Christmas. Monterey, CA: Hilleary and Petko, 1981. 8 pp. 2 1/2″ x 2″. Colophon: One hundred and eighty copies of this miniature were printed by Roger Hilleary on a 1900 Chandler and Price Pilot Press. Joanna types by Eric Gill were set by hand. Illustrated, title and colophon in three colors, heavy red wrappers. In an envelope. B20th 8/1442.

Weber, Francis J. Maynard Geiger, Archivist-Historian. Monterey, CA: Hilleary and Petko, 1982. 19 pp. 2 9/16″ x 2 3/8″. Colophon: Two hundred copies of this miniature book were printed on Fabriano Ingres paper by Roger Hilleary. Joanna italic and Bembo roman types were handset and printed on a Pilot press. Msgr. Francis J. Weber is Archivist of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. David Salinas is a professor of engineering as well as a graphics artist. Signed Hilleary and Weber. Brown fabricoid with gilt titles. B20th 9/3135.

Hilleary, Roger R. The House on the Plaza, The Story of the Cooper-Molera Adobes. Monterey, CA: Hilleary and Petko, 1984. 24 pp. 2 5/16″ x 2 1/16″. Colophon: One hundred and seventy-five copies were printed by Roger Hilleary on a Chandler and Price pilot press. Hand-set Bookman types and Simpson stipple book paper were used. Ink drawings for the electro-zinc engravings are by David Salinas. Leatherette and decorative boards, navy with orange flowers. 25 pages and 3 illustrations. B20th 10/1445.

Weber, Francis J. Serra Landing Monument. Monterey, CA: Hilleary And Petko, 1985. 10 pp. 1 ½” x 1 ½”. Colophon: Two hundred copies were printed on an 1860’s Columbian press by Roger Hilleary, Times New Roman types and Simpson Sundance text paper were used. Msgr. Weber is Executive Secretary of the Serra Bicentennial Commission, the official logo of which was engraved and printed by Anthony F. Kroll. It was designed by Ernest Marquer. Etching by George .G. Sutherland. Bound in paper over boards with a cloth spine. B20th 11/3161.

Colton, Walter. Walter Colton’s Christmas Poem in 1846. Monterey, CA: Hilleary and Petko, 1985. 9 pp. 2 3/8″ x 2″. Colophon: One hundred and fifty copies of this Christmas keepsake were printed on Exact Matte Vellum Opaque paper by Roger Hilleary. Times New Roman type, designed by Stanley Morison in 1931, and a Chandler and Price Pilot press were used. Merry Christmas to all! With two drawings of Michael De Weese. Printed in three colors. bound in stiff blue paper and sewn with a gold thread. In an envelope. B20th 12/732.

Colophon: One hundred copies were printed on Linweave text paper by Roger Hilleary at his home in Monterey, California. Monotype Bembo types were handset and printed on a Chandler and Price pilot press. The miniature monograph was bound by the printed using red buckram cloth and papers advertising printing equipment and supplies. Red cloth. News-print cover. B20th 13/1446.

Hilleary, Roger. Tao House, Eugene O’Neill’s Ideal Home. Monterey, CA: Hilleary and Petko, 1988. 25 pp. 2 3/8″ x 2 1/8″. Colophon: 100 copies of this miniature book were printed on Neenah Classical linen text paper by Roger Hilleary, Hand-set Monotype Bembo characters and a Chandler & Price pilot press were used. Etchings were printed by the artist, George G. Sutherland of Danville, California. B20th 14/1447.

Weber, Francis J. John Carroll and the Vernacular Liturgy. Monterey, CA: Hilleary and Petko, 1991. 15 pp. 2 3/16″ x 2 3/16″. Colophon: Mostly Perpetua types were used in composing this miniature book, of which one hundred and thirty-five copies were printed on Neenah Classic paper. Roger Hilleary used a Chandler and Price pilot press form the 1900’s. The drawing of the cathedral was done by Elizabeth Hilleary. This is copy number 35. A 1989 Vatican Postage stamp is frontispiece. bound in gold paper over boards with leather spine bearing title and author. B20th 15/3123.

Gartshore, Bonnie. Jo Mora, Carmel’s Cowyboy Artist. Monterey, CA: Old Monterey Book Co., 1998. 25 pp. 2 1/2″ x 2 1/8″. Colophon: One hundred and twelve copies were printed on a pilot press by Dave Salinas & Roger Hilleary, the designer. Ingres Antique paper and Bookman types were used. Binding was by the printers. This is copy number 56. Signed by the author. B20th 18.
