Moore, Clement C. A Visit from Saint Nicholas. Spartanburg, SC: Kitemaug Press, 1981. 14 pp. 2 1/2″ x 1 3/4″. Colophon: Frank J. Anderson handset this book in six point type; which is sort of an exercise in masochism. It was printed on an antique Pearl treadle press during numerous hour spent in the six point press room off the carport. The job was done poco a poco, rather than Ho-Ho-Ho fashion. Printed in green ink. A green illustration of a Christmas tree is the frontispiece. Illustration of Santa and his reindeer printed in red is a centerfold. Center sewn into red paper covers. Handset in six point Caslon Type. Kept inside its original paper slipcase with a picture of Santa and “Merry Christmas” all printed in red. B20th 16/2114.

The paper is Linweave. Printed on the 1879 Pearl treadle press. Hand bound in blue Denim weave. All of the work was done by Frank J. Anderson at the Kitemaug Press. About 75 copies were produced for the ENTIRE WORLD! This is #41, signed by Frank Anderson. Title printed on the spine in silver and a light blue title label is affixed to the spine. Enclosed inside a yellow dust jacket with the author’s name printed in black on the spine, and the title in black on the front cover. A green wrap-around band with “75 copies now in print!” on the front. B20th 26/138.

The paper is Masa, with Tarei covers & sleeve. The type is Italian O.S. Printing completed on May 25, 1980. Copy No. 33 of 100. Sewn in the typical Japanese format. Edition of 100 copies. Anderson, Frank J. (compiler). Christmas Carols. Spartanburg, SC: Kitemaug Press, 1982. 20 pp. 1-5/8″ x 2-9/16″. Colophon: Printed one page at a time, from six point Caslon type, on an antique Pearl treadle press. The format is vaguely reminiscent of the 19th century oblong songsters & hymnals. The entire project is the handiwork of Frank J. Anderson. Edition limited to 150 copies. Copy #32. Contains the verses of six traditional carols with six appropriate illustrations. Oblong format, and handset in 6 point type and printed on white paper with green ink. Sewn into green leather-grained paper covers. Contained in a clever imprinted paper folder with a string for hanging on your tree. B20th 36/126.

Signed by Frank Anderson. Printed on buff colored book paper. Handset in 8 point Garamond and Engravers Old English type. Twenty of the 28 pages are printed. The decorated end papers were printed at the Press. The pages are signature sewn and bound in red Arrestox (B 66500) over boards. The title is printed on the cover and the spine. Contained in a protective paper chemise with printed cover and spine titles. The edition was supposed to be 100 copies, but a couple of books were ruined. Of the 98 copies produced only 75 copies are for sale. B20th 40/150.

Anderson, Frank J. Andy’s Bread Book. Spartanburg, SC: Kitemaug Press, 1986. 34 pp. 2 5/8″ x 2 1/4″. Colophon: Frank J. Anderson mixed & baked this book. Ingredients include 8 point Caslon types, Ragston paper, and a 6×10″ CMC “Superior” side lever hand press. It took a couple of months to rise. The crust was baked at the Kitemaug Bindery. The frontispiece and the decorations were made printable by the Central Michigan Engravers from sketches done by FJA. Of 100 copies this is No. 13. Signed by Frank Anderson. Hand bound in cloth covered boards with a printed spine title. There is a printed d.j. Contained in paper book cover with picture printed on front cover and title printed on spine. Back cover and inside flaps on both front and back contain comments about the bread and the book. B20th 50/108.

Colophon: This book was handset in 8 point Caslon types, and printed by hand on a 6×9 CMC Superior press. The paper is Mohawk Superfine. Hand bound in the tartan of an unidentified clan. Frank J. Anderson designed and produced the book. 100 copies of the 150 copy edition are keepsakes for those attending the 8th Grand Conclave of the Miniature Book Society, Inc. in Glasgow, Scotland.
