Marilynne Robinson
has taught at the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop since 1991. In
1989, she was a finalist for the National Book Award for nonfiction and
in 1998, she received a Mildred and Harold Strauss Living Award from the
American Academy of Arts and Letters.
