General catalogs. Published since 1855, the first year of classes at the University, the catalogs list schedules of tuition and fees effective the year of publication. A full set of catalogs, from 1855 to the present, is housed at the Archives. A set, from 1970 to the present, is also online. RG 01.08.
Iowa State Board of Regents records. Minutes and reports issued by the governing body of the University document official actions concerning tuition and fee adjustments. The Archives houses Regents' (or predecessor) records from 1855-1980; more recent records are maintained by Government Publications, Main Library. Current and recent tuition rate information is also online at the State Board of Regents' website. RG 04 series.
Office of the Registrar. Current and recent tuition rate information dating back to the 2000-2001 academic year is available online at the Office of the Registrar's website.
Publications. Some University-produced publications may include references to tuition. Titles of over 200 such publications may be searched in the University Serials and Journals Collection (RG 01.09.02).
Subject Vertical Files. The Archives' subject files include information about tuition under the following categories: Administration, Miscellaneous, and Registrar. RG 01.15.
Tuition rate schedules online, 1960-2000. Prepared by the University Archives, the schedules display tuition and fee information based on the University's general catalogs. Choose from the following: 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1972, 1974, 1976, 1978, 1980, 1982, 1984, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000.
