Biographical Note
Julius Robert Hecker was born September 9, 1890, in Audubon, Iowa. Mr. Hecker was a University of Iowa student from 1908 until 1912. During 1910-1912, he was employed at an Iowa City photographer's studio, where he made and sold postcards from photographs he made in Iowa City, in order to earn money for his University classes. Mr. Hecker died August 15, 1967.
