Colophon: About 250 copies of this book were printed letterpress with handset
six point Caslon Clear face and Garamond Bold Italic type on No. 1 and No. 11
Pearl presses. Sketch of Mark Twain by Rachel Scott, wheat and corn by Duane
Scott. All illustrations printed from photopolymer relief plates. Paper, 200 on
Stratford, 50 on Mohawk Superfine This is book No. 4, first miniature from the
Scott Free Press. Signed by Duane Scott.
Decorative end papers are in brown ink and area composite of early farming
scenes. Bound in brown cloth with a quarter black leather spine. Gilt title on
front cover and spine. #31 of 270. B20th 1/2961.
Harris, Joel Chandler. Uncle Remus Stories. Overland Park, KS: Scott Free Press,
1983. 32 pp. 2 9/16" x 2 1/2".
Colophon: "Uncle Remus Stories" is the fifth book, second miniature
printed at this press. 250 copies have been printed letterpress on two Pearl
treadle presses. Parsons type is used except for the colophon, which is printed
in Harris and cast by the Keystone type foundry about 1909. The paper is Mohawk
Superfine. Printing and binding by Duane C. Scott.
Hand sewn and bound in full leather with title gold-stamped on spine and front
cover. Four illustrations, printed end papers, red and black ink. #103 of 250
copies, signed by Duane Scott. B20th 2/1322.
Ibsen, Henrik. Nora Awakened. Overland Park, KS: Scott Free Press,
1984. 44 pp. 2 3/8" x 2".
Colophon: "Nora Awakened" was printed letterpress on three hand fed
treadle Golding Pearl presses using handset Bodoni type. About 100 copies
printed on 100 percent cotton rag paper handmade on the premises and 150 copies
on Mohawk Superfine. Illustration from sculpture by Saint Gaudens.
Gray cloth case binding with title on front and spine. Since the sheets have
only been folded once, this is a "folio" book. Each page bordered in
pink design . Edition of 250, 100 of SPF handmade paper with three deckles of
which this is a copy #40 signed by Duane Scott. A second copy, #125 of 150 on
Mohawk Superfine. B20th 3/1534.

Colophon: An 8x12 O.S. Chandler and Price press was used. The type is Caslon
Clear face and Garamond Bold Italic, Paper is acid-free Howard Permalife. This
is the fourth miniature book printed by me. Design, hand typesetting,
presswork, printing and binding done by Duane C. Scott 9/5/1986.
The story is about a stamp with an incorrect caption. Hand sewn and case bound,
yellow cloth over boards. Printed in black with red designed borders on each
page. End papers printed, Bobtail stamp. In an edition of 175, this is copy #
27. Signed by Duane Scott. B20th 4/1657.
