Juniper Von Phitzer and Marvin R. Hiemstra (English, 1962) created the first of these miniature books at their San Francisco press. A Pair of Roses (1993) by Samuel M. Steward, with an afterword by Hiemstra, is an illustrated remembrance of Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas. It measures 2 1/8 x 2 3/4". #149 of 222 copies.

The Juniper Von Phitzer Press: A Bibliography (1999) was published by Robert F. Orr Hanson at his Albuquerque, New Mexico, Opuscula Press. It measures 2 3/4 x 2 7/8" and its 150 pages record details of the 61 miniature and two non-miniature books published by the Juniper Von Phitzer Press from 1985 to 1999. #29 of 75 copies.
