John W. Wright Civil War Letters and Documents

2nd Lt. John. W. Wright served in Company "B" of the 10th Iowa Battalion and was captured by the Confederate Army near Mission Ridge, Tennessee in 1863. After release from prison camp, he struggled to collect back pay for the period of his imprisonment -- a struggle documented in this collection of eleven items.
