Newsprint proofs of the cartoons. Approximately 8 1/2 x 11. Arranged chronologically. (Note: There is some overlap between folders. These folders, we believe, were sorted and arranged by Darling and we were unwilling to change the order he had imposed upon them. It may be that some proofs were made for possible inclusion in a book, because they were in envelopes labeled "For Historical Selection." There are some of Carlisle's cartoons mixed in with Darlings. Where this is the case, they have been left in chronological order. For those folders which were entirely Carlisle's work, a subseries "Carlisle" was created.)
