Paul Soderdahl joined The University of Iowa Libraries in 1995, first as team leader then head of the Information Arcade. In 2000, he became coordinator for information systems and technology and in 2006 was named Director, Library Information Technology. Mr. Soderdahl holds a B.A. in mathematics and a B.M. in music from Northwestern University, and he earned an M.S. in technology-based music instruction from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1991. His M.A. in library and information science is from The University of Iowa. Mr. Soderdahl has been active in the Library and Information Technology Association, a division of the American Library Association, and has authored several articles on technology in academic libraries. He has served in a number of capacities in various Ex Libris users groups, including as a steering committee member of the SFX/MetaLib Users Group and the Ex Libris Users of North America.
