The Sheraton, Downtown Iowa City.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Sheraton Hotel, downtown Iowa City (approximately a four block walk from the IMU). The Sheraton rates are $109 single/double. To secure reservations at this rate, call (800) 848-1335 and indicate that you are attending the Book Conservation Conference. Early reservation is encouraged as only a limited number of rooms have been reserved at this special rate, which is good through June 29, 2005. The Sheraton also offers complimentary parking for their guests. Individuals are responsible for their own reservations.

Dormitory Room Reservations.
Air-conditioned rooms have been reserved at Daum, one of the University eastside dormitories, within pleasant walking distance (4 blocks) of the Iowa Memorial Union.

Dorm Room services include: Bed linens, pillow and bedspread provided, bed will not be made upon arrival, towels provided daily,  trash emptied daily, rooms cleaned weekly.  Bathrooms are shared by the floor.  Floors are separated male and female. You may check in after 4pm; check out is by noon. You can learn more about Daum here.
NOTE: As of June 17, all female dorm rooms have been reserved and no additional rooms are available. Male dorm rooms are still available.

If you will be driving to the conference and staying at Daum, special arrangements for parking must be made prior to your arrival.  Please contact Jo Dickens at The Center for Conferences at 319-335-4159 to make your parking arrangements. Rooms are assigned on a first come-first serve basis at a rate of $44 per room per night.

Single and double rooms are available. If you would like to share a room, please indicate roommate’s name on your registration form. Make sure your roommate does the same on his/her form. We are not responsible for assigning roommates. Roommate name must be included at the time of registration. If registering for the conference on-line, please indicate roommate name in the Special Request section of the on-line housing form.

To reserve a dorm room, please indicate this option on your registration form. Payment must be received in order to hold a dormitory room for you.

If you would like to consider other accomodations, there are a variety of bed and breakfasts and other hotels in the Iowa City/Coralville area from which you may choose.
