Librarians are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lib.uiowa.edu\/people\/\">subject specialists<\/a> trained to serve as expert resources in a broad range of fields. Staff are also involved in providing services that help students succeed, collaborating with faculty, and assisting in classrooms across campus.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the UI Libraries serve the entire state of Iowa, providing assistance with a broad range of questions, lending materials, and advocating for libraries of all sizes in schools and towns across the state.<\/p>\n<p>If you need assistance connecting with someone or information about anything related to the UI Libraries, please reach out to the Libraries Communications Office at <a href=\"mailto:lib-communication@uiowa.edu\">lib-communication@uiowa.edu.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As a state institution, journalists have access to public areas across campus.
