Requests should be placed by logging into <a href=\"http:\/\/search.lib.uiowa.edu\"><strong>InfoHawk+<\/strong><\/a>. Requests submitted will be processed the following day (excluding weekends and holidays) and will be delivered within five working days. An email notification will be sent when items are available for check-out or when they leave the owning library, if delivered to an office or a remote location. The loan period begins when the material is checked out. Staff at the owning library will contact you if requested material is not located or is not included in this service.<\/p>\n<h3>Exceptions to delivery services<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>State Historical Society of Iowa and their materials.<\/li>\n<li>Materials that circulate for 7 days or less cannot be sent to an office or a remote location. Materials that circulate for 3 days or less cannot be sent to another library. Examples are reserve items, media material and reference material.<\/li>\n<li>Many collections may have additional circulation restrictions. Staff at the owning library will contact you if material is not located or is not included in the delivery service.<\/li>\n<li>Office delivery is not available to law student carrels.<\/li>\n<li>Office delivery is not available to students living in the dorms.<\/li>\n<li>Remote delivery is not available to College of Law users or from the Law Library collection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Campus mail information<\/h3>\n<p>Campus mail delivery is not available to students living in the residence halls. Campus mail is currently picked up at the Main Library at approximately 6:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and at 8:30 a.m. at the Hardin Library for the Health Sciences. Branch libraries have different pick-up times.<\/p>\n<p>Materials may be returned in person at any campus library. Materials may also be returned via campus mail using a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lib.uiowa.edu\/circ\/files\/2016\/08\/item_return_slip.pdf\">item return slip<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lib.uiowa.edu\/circ\/files\/pdf.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32\" title=\"PDF File\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lib.uiowa.edu\/circ\/files\/pdf.gif\" alt=\"PDF File\" width=\"17\" height=\"17\" \/><\/a>\u00a0or a handwritten note that includes your name and\u00a0the date the item was returned.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Art Library \u2013 235 ABW<\/li>\n<li>Business Library \u2013 C336 PBB<\/li>\n<li>Engineering Library \u2013 2001 SC<\/li>\n<li>Hardin Library \u2013 100 HLHS<\/li>\n<li>Law Library \u2013 200 BLB<\/li>\n<li>Main Library \u2013 100 MAIN LIB<\/li>\n<li>Music Library \u2013 1451 VOX<\/li>\n<li>Sciences Library \u2013 104A SL<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Remote delivery information<\/h3>\n<p>When placing your request, please enter in your complete shipping address, including a street number. We cannot deliver to P.O. boxes. There is a 50 character limit, so please email <a title=\"mailto:lib-ill@uiowa.edu\" href=\"mailto:lib-ill@uiowa.edu\">lib-ill@uiowa.edu<\/a> if your address does not fit in the available space. Materials are delivered via standard rate UPS to a home address and should arrive within one week. Return of the materials by the due date is the responsibility of the user and if not returned in person, a traceable delivery system in highly recommended (i.e., UPS or FedEx).
