\"Capture<\/a><\/span>About<\/em><\/h4>\n

The Capture Your Research! is an image competition where Engineering students, faculty, and staff can submit one image that captures the essence of their research.\u00a0 They will be judged on originality\/creativity, aesthetic – appeal of the image, relationship between the image and their research, and clarity of the written description.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

We will have four prize categories for undergraduate, graduate, faculty\/staff (including the research labs\/centers), and people\u2019s choice.<\/span><\/p>\n

This will be based off of similar project at the <\/span>University of Alberta.<\/span><\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0You can see example of images submitted to the University of Alberta competition <\/span>here<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Definition of\u00a0<\/em>Research<\/i><\/h4>\n

What is your day like as an Engineer? We want to capture images that feature how interesting life is as an engineering. What images might you be seeing in your day to day life that others might not?<\/p>\n

Research is broadly defined to mean any systematic investigation or study into a product, process or concept to develop new and improved products and understandings.\u00a0 Examples can range for redesigning a more ergonomically chair or investigating toxicology in drinking water and this is just the tip of the iceberg.<\/p>\n

Winners will be selected from 4 categories with a 1st and 2nd place awarded in each category.<\/p>\n
