Learn about paper folding to create a pop-up cards with lights. The two go together like peas and carrots. And, although it is possible to learn about, and build, electronics without needing to pick up a soldering iron, you\u2019ll soon discover that a whole new world is opened with this one simple skill. Taught by Jeremy Roszell, Engineering Electronics Shop.<\/li>\n<li>If you want to be able to build along in the workshop, 2 variations of kits are available from the Electronics Shop and can be purchased when registering for the workshop. Both kits will include all consumable materials with the difference being if it includes a soldering iron. The \u201cmaterials only kit\u201d is $11.45 and the \u201cmaterials with soldering iron kit\u201d is $67.35. With magnets of course! In this virtual workshop, Isaac Johnson, of the IEEE Student Group, will demonstrate how a magnet and some electrical components can make a simple shake flashlight that never needs batteries! This type of flashlight is great for hiking, camping, or emergency situations.
