\"Research<\/a>This informative series of three virtual workshops is designed to aid researchers, of all levels, with scholarly publishing, technical writing tips, citation management, searches and more.<\/p>\n

All 45-minute workshops are Wednesdays at 2:30 pm – 3:15 pm on Zoom. Anyone is welcomed to join these virtual <\/span><\/span><\/span> workshops. All students, Iowa Honors Program, researchers, staff, and faculty.<\/p>\n

Registration is required<\/span> – the Zoom link will be emailed to registered participants one hour before the workshop starts.<\/p>\n

February 16 – Introduction to LaTeX Editor: Overleaf<\/strong><\/p>\n

LaTeX is a document preparation system which uses markup tagging conventions to define the general structure of a document, to format text, and to add citations and cross-references. Instead of trouble shooting LaTeX software and packages locally in your computer, you can take advantage of the online LaTeX editor, Overleaf. In this workshop, we will introduce the free version of Overleaf and LaTeX basics. Presented by Marina Zhang, Engineering & Informatics Librarian, Lichtenberger Engineering Library.<\/p>\n

Before the workshop, sign up for Overleaf free account<\/a>\u202fand copy the template<\/a> and slides.<\/a><\/p>\n

    March 30 – Creating and Presenting a Research Poster<\/strong><\/p>\n

    This workshop will help you make your poster presentation more effective. Learn to think about the prospective audience, poster content, and design considerations in a poster layout. Presented by Robert Peck, Speaking Center.<\/p>\n
