The peer review process is an important component of scholarly publication and one which brings a host of new expectations, jargon, and acronyms which researchers are often expected to pick up entirely on their own. This workshop will focus on what expectations journals will have of their authors and will provide clarity as to what the peer review process actually looks like, so that you can avoid common pitfalls and pain points for an often opaque process.<\/p>\n

An introduction to the desktop version of EndNote will be covered in this <\/span>workshop<\/span>. The software is freely available to graduate students, faculty, and staff. EndNote is a citation management tool that <\/span>assists<\/span> with importing, organizing, sharing, and managing citations and documents, as well as creating correctly formatted in-text citations and bibliographies in almost any style<\/span> in seconds.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This workshop <\/span>will <\/span>introduce you to<\/span> A<\/span>I-powered tools <\/span>for literature discovery <\/span>(e.g.,<\/span> ResearchRabbit<\/span>,<\/span> Consensus<\/span> and Elicit<\/span>). <\/span>You<\/span> will learn about their <\/span>data source, unique features<\/span>,<\/span> and limitations. <\/span>You<\/span> will<\/span> also<\/span> explore an AI-powered tool assessment framework and use it to <\/span>evaluate <\/span>those AI-powered tools. <\/span><\/p>\n
