2027-2028 exhibition statements of interest are now closed for submission. Check back in 2026 for future proposal opportunities.<\/h3>\n

University of Iowa faculty and staff are invited to submit statements of interest during active proposal submission dates. Proposals from across campus are welcome. Exhibits for the Main Library Gallery must showcase materials from the University of Iowa Libraries. Exhibits are ultimately selected by the Main Library Gallery Exhibition Proposal Review Committee, which includes staff from across Libraries departments, the Pentacrest Museums, and Stanley Museum of Art, plus student and faculty representatives.<\/p>\n

What is the Main Library Gallery?<\/h3>\n

The Main Library Gallery is a museum-quality exhibition space located on the <\/span>first <\/span>floor of the Main Library.<\/span> The Gallery is equipped with temperature and humidity controls, professional grade display cases with alarms, and low light capability, all of which make it a suitable environment for objects requiring special display conditions. The Gallery is a member of the American Alliance of Museums and the Association of Academic Museums and Galleries. Two key purposes of the Gallery are to increase visibility of UI Libraries collections and<\/span> to<\/span> share unique research from <\/span>the<\/span> campus community through those collections<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
