Place your request with us:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/hardin\/hardin_reserve\/\">Fill out form<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Requests to place materials on reserve can be made in person, or by email (<a href=\"mailto:lib-res@uiowa.edu\">lib-hardin-circ@uiowa.edu<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>You will receive confirmation when the materials are placed on reserve.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>2). Or do it yourself with Course Materials+<\/h4>\n<p>The University of Iowa Libraries have recently adopted a new course reserves software that is integrated into ICON. The tool, called \u201cCourse Materials+\u201d in your ICON online course space, leverages the power of Ex Libris Leganto and the libraries catalog (InfoHawk+) to develop content diverse reading lists and helps make course materials more accessible to students.<\/p>\n<p>With Course Materials+ you can assemble content of all types; physical &amp; e-books, online or digitized book chapters, scholarly articles, videos, images, electronic resources, and any other type of content, to create a flexible and interactive reading list.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/guides.lib.uiowa.edu\/coursematerials\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Course Materials Guide<\/a><\/p>\n<p><h4>Getting Started in ICON<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>In Course Navigation, click the Settings link<\/li>\n<li>Open Navigation<\/li>\n<li>Click the vertical ellipsis (on the right side) for Course Materials+ and click Enable<\/li>\n<li>Save Navigation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Before you request reserves:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Review the University of Iowa Libraries course reserve <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lib.uiowa.edu\/about\/policies\/coursereserves\">policy<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Instructors are responsible for determining if their use of copyrighted material falls within Fair Use or if they need to obtain permission to use the material. The Copyright Management Center at IUPU provides a <a href=\"http:\/\/copyright.columbia.edu\/copyright\/fair-use\/fair-use-checklist\/\">check list<\/a> to aid in making fair use evaluations. Further information about copyright is also available on the Libraries&#8217; <a href=\"http:\/\/guides.lib.uiowa.edu\/copyright\">Copyright<\/a> website.<\/li>\n<li>All e-reserves (PDF&#8217;s, links etc.) are made available to students through ICON. Instructors need to give Hardin staff access to their ICON sites.
