Web guidelines for content editors: Tables

Information about creating accessible data tables can be found on the University of Iowa’s Web Accessibility Focus site at:  http://webaccess.its.uiowa.edu/10ways/tables.html

Any part of your content that does not flow well into narrower displays (e.g., phones) can cause an issue.

Tables with a fixed width or that contain too many columns such that the table data does not display well when squished into a narrow view do not flow well into narrower displays (e.g., phones) and can cause issues. Using tables for the layout of a page is almost never responsive or accessible. Please see the page on responsive content for more information.
